My father died on the 6th of April. We buried him three days later.

The funeral was the worst and the hardest moment of my life... I didn't even know how painful it would be until we came there... and when people started to shake our hands, hug us and mutter 'my condolences' and words of comfort... I though my hear was going to break into thousands of pieces... it didn't... but it felt like it did...
If there hadn't been for my closest, most wonderful friends, for my mum and my brother, who didn't leave me alone for a moment, I don't think I would have survived.

The pain I'm feeling cannot be described. The emptiness inside me will never be filled again.
He was my soulmate, my friend, the support through all my life...

The last few years have been very hard... the past few months have been more than difficult... and the last days... I will try my best to forget them... That wasn't the man I knew... it was merely a shadow...

I want to remember only the good times, the good years... I want to remember the man I used to know before all that followed...

I love you, dad. May you rest in peace... and goodbye.
